The woman who was baby-sitting a 16-month-old boy who died on Sunday in Staten Island has been arrested and charged with murder.

Gloria Fields, 31, faces charges for second-degree murder, as well as assault and aggravated sex abuse, NY1 reported Tuesday night.

The toddler, Anthony Delgado, had signs of trauma when he was brought to Staten Island University Hospital North this weekend, where he was pronounced dead, according to reports.

Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Barbara Sampson declared the child’s death a homicide earlier on Tuesday.

“The cause of death is blunt force injuries of head and torso. The manner of death is homicide,” Sampson said in a statement reported by SILive.
