Subway service changes will disrupt these 15 lines this weekend

Once again, subway changes will affect many of the city’s train lines this weekend.

According to the MTA, “theseweekend changes are necessary because of capital construction work” and are”part of NYC Transit’s ongoing Capital Rebuilding Program aimed at upgrading and maintaining our tracks, stations and signal systems in order to continue to provide our customers with safe and reliable service.”

If you can’t figure out a way to get where you’re going via the city’s subway system this weekend, there’s always thebus, biki ng, walking, or you can just stay home.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday, January 29, to 5 a.m. Monday, February 1, South Ferry-bound 1trains run express from 14th Street to Chambers Street.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday, January 29, to 6:30 a.m. Sunday, January 31, and from 6:30 a.m. Sunday, January 31, to Monday, February 1, Flatbush Av-Brooklyn College bound 2trains run express from 14th Street to Chambers Street.

From 10 p.m. Saturday, January 30 to 10 a.m. Sunday, January 31,uptown 2 trains run local from Times Sq-42nd Street to 96th Street.

At all times until winter 2015/16 3 trains skip Rockaway Av and Van Siclen Av in both directions. Use free shuttle buses instead.

For service to/from Rockaway Av, use shuttle buses to/from the Saratoga Av station at all times. B60 customers can transfer to/from shuttle buses at Rockaway Av.

For service to/from Van Siclen Av, use shuttle buses to/from the Pennsylvania Av station at all times.

Free transfer is available with MetroCard.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday, January 29 to 5 a.m. Monday, February 1, 3service operates to/from New Lots Av all weekend, replacing the 4in Brooklyn. 3trains will run express in Manhattan.

From 10 p.m. Saturday, January 30 to 10 a.m. Sunday, January 31, Harlem-138 St bound 3 trains run local from Times Sq-42 St to 96th Street.

At all times until Winter 2015/16, 4 trains skip Rockaway Av and Van Siclen Av in both directions.

Until spring 2016 Pelham Bay-Park bound 6trains skip 103rd Street. Use the nearby 96th Street or 110th Street station instead.

For service to this station, take the uptown 4 or 6to 125th Street and transfer to a downtown 4 local or 6. Or, take an uptown 4 local or 6to 110 St and transfer to a downtown M101 Local, M102, or M103 bus.

For service from this station, take a downtown 4 or 6train to 96 St and transfer to an uptown 4 or 6. Or, take an M101, M102, or M103 bus to 96 St and transfer to an uptown 4 or 6train.

Transfer between trains and buses is available with MetroCard.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday, January 29 to 5 a.m. Monday, February 1, 4 trains are suspended in both directions between Crown Hts-Utica Ave/New Lots Ave and Bowling Green. Take the 2 or 3 instead. Transfer between 4 and 2 or3 trains at Fulton St.

Until Spring 2016 Pelham Bay-Park bound 6trains skip 103rd Street. Use the nearby 96th Street or 110th Street stations instead.

For service to this station, take the uptown 4 or 6 to 125th Street and transfer to a downtown 4 local or 6. Or, take an uptown 4local or 6 to 110 St and transfer to a downtown M101 Local, M102, or M103 bus.

For service from this station, take a downtown 4 or 6train to 96 St and transfer to an uptown 4 or 6. Or, take an M101, M102, or M103 bus to 96 St and transfer to an uptown 4or 6 Subway train.

For service to this station, take the Ato 104th Street and transfer to a Lefferts Blvd-bound A, or take the Q112 bus, days and evenings.

For service from this station, take the Ato Lefferts Blvd and transfer to a Brooklyn-bound A.

At all times until Spring 2016, Brooklyn-bound A trains skip 80th Street.

For service to this station, take the Ato Grant Av and transfer to an Ozone Park/Far Rockaway-bound A.

For service from this station, take the Ato 88th Street and transfer to a Brooklyn-bound A.

From 12:01 a.m. Saturday, January 30 to 5 a.m. Monday, February 1, Atrains are suspended in both directions between Euclid Av and Ozone Park-Lefferts Blvd. Free shuttle buses provide alternate service. A service operates in two sections:

Between 207th Street and Euclid Av.

Between Rockaway Blvd. and Far Rockaway, every 20 minutes.

Free shuttle buses operate between Euclid Av and Lefferts Blvd, stopping at Grant Av, 80 St, 88 St, Rockaway Blvd, 104th Street, and 111th Street. Transfer between A trains and free shuttle buses at Euclid Av and/or Rockaway Blvd.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday, January 29 to 6:30 a.m. Sunday, January 31, and from 11:45 p.m. Sunday, January 31, to 5 a.m. Monday, February 1, Brooklyn-bound A trains run express 59 St-Columbus Circle to Canal St.

From 6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, January 30 and January 31, Brooklyn-bound Ctrains run express 59 St-Columbus Circle to Canal Street.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday, January 29 to 5 a.m. Monday, February 1, Jamaica Center-Parsons/Archer bound Etrains skip 75 Av and Briarwood.

From 12:01 a.m. Saturday, January 30 to 5 a.m. Monday, February 1, Coney Island-Stillwell Av bound Ftrains run local from Forest Hills-71 Av to Queens Plaza.

From 11:30 p.m. Friday, January 29 to 5 a.m. Monday, February 1, Jtrains are suspended in both directions between Hewes St and Broad St. Jservice operates between Jamaica Center and Hewes St. Take free shuttle buses and 4,6andFtrains instead. Free shuttle buses operate between Hewes St and Essex St, stopping at Marcy Av. For direct service between Brooklyn and Manhattan, consider using the A,Cor Lvia free transfer at Broadway Junction.

From 6 a.m. to 12 Midnight Saturday, January 30 and Sunday, January 31, Mtrains are suspended in both directions between Myrtle Av and Essex Street. M Subway service operates between Metropolitan Av and Myrtle Av all weekend. Take the J,L and/or free shuttle buses instead. Free shuttle buses provide alternate service between Hewes St and Essex St, stopping at Marcy Av. For direct service to/from Manhattan, use the Lvia transfer at Myrtle-Wyckoff Avs.

At all times until Winter 2016, L trains skip Atlantic Av in both directions. For service to/from this station, use free shuttle buses to/from the Broadway Junction station at all times.

At all times until Spring 2017, Astoria-Ditmars Blvd bound N trains skip 86th Street, Avenue U, Kings Hwy, 20 Av, 18 Av, New Utrecht Avenue, and Fort Hamilton Pkwy. N trains will stop at Bay Pkwy and 8th Avenue.

To 86th Street, Avenue U, and Kings Hwy, take the Astoria-bound Nto Bay Pkwy and transfer to a Coney Island-bound N Subway.

To 20 Av, 18 Av, New Utrecht Av, and Fort Hamilton Pkwy, take the Astoria-bound N to 8 Av and transfer to a Coney Island-bound N.

From these stations, take a Coney Island-bound N to Bay Pkwy or Stillwell Av and transfer to an Astoria-bound N.

For New Utrecht Av-62 St, take the Dinstead. Transfer to an Astoria-bound N Subway train at 36 St.

From 11:30 p.m. Friday, January 29, to 5 a.m. Monday, February 1, Q trains are suspended in both directions between 57 St-7 Av and Kings Hwy. Qservice operates between Coney Island-Stillwell Av and Kings Hwy. Free shuttle buses operate as follows:

Express (non-stop) between Kings Hwy and Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr.

Local between Kings Hwy and Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr, making all stops.

For service to Manhattan, take the D, F orNfrom Coney Island-Stillwell Av. For service to Coney Island-Stillwell Av, take the D, F or N at 34 St-Herald Sq or the D orNat Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr.

From 6 a.m. to 12 midnight Saturday, January 30, and Sunday, January 31, Forest Hills-71 Av bound Rtrains run express from Queens Plaza to Forest Hills-71 Av.
