Time just works a little differently in during summer, especially on a California beach. Maybe that’s why The Drift, the Gansevoort Park Avenue’s new rooftop space, was a bit tardy in arriving for the season. But we’re always glad to have another spot to get above the steamy city streets.

The Drift, on the 20th story with uptown views, gets a hefty dose of its inspiration from California, with a menu of summer staples like mini lobster rolls, oysters and tuna tacos, plus a full cocktail bar, wine (by which we mean rosé, of course), and Coconut Cartel coconuts. And for you non-business lunchers, until 4 p.m. Monday-Friday a magnum of rosé will only set you back $100.

The rooftop is open noon to 2 a.m. daily, with regular events like life-size games on Mondays, rotating DJs on Wednesdays and ‘80s movies on Sundays.
