Three men arrested in attempted Manhattan delivery of 300 pounds of marijuana

In a delivery gone wrong, three men are now facing charges of criminal possession of marijuana after police found them allegedly trying to deliver 300 pounds of the drug in Greenwich Village.

On Feb. 26 at 1:20 p.m., following an ongoing investigation, police officers from the Manhattan North Narcotics seized 150 pounds of marijuana that was being delivered to 144 Bleecker St., according to police.

The officers were on the scene as the three suspects — identified as Patrick Johnston, 46, from Manhattan and Staten Island residents Matthew Parrigo, 27, and Christopher Bender, 27 — took the delivery of a large wooden crate, which contained the marijuana, cops said.

On the delivery truck, according to authorities, police discovered an additional wooden crate, which also had 150 pounds of marijuana.

All three men were arrested and charged with criminal possession of marijuana.
