An early morning fire took the life of a 2-year-old boy in Bed-Stuy, ABC New York reports.
The 1-alarm fire happened at 755 Monroe St. just before 7 a.m. Tuesday. Fire crews reportedly had the flames under control in an hour, Patch reported.
ABC said that hours after the fire had been put out a woman told investigators she couldn’t find her son. Investigators searched the home and found the boy’s body under a bed.
He has not been publicly identified. Both his death and the fire are under investigation.
