A tour busreportedly hit a tree on the Upper East Side Thursday afternoon. The incidentoccured on5th Avenue and East 63rd Street near Central Park when the south-bound bus swerved to avoid a taxi that had cut it off, according to NBC4 New York. The bus was forced to drive onto the sidewalk and struck a tree. ABC7said four were hospitalized for non-life threatening but serious injuries and five were being treated for minor injuries. NBC4 reports 10 hospitalized. A total of 13 injuries were reported by local media. Fifth Avenue is closed between 62nd and 63rd streets.
ABC7 reported that double-decker bus is operated by Go New York Tours.
