Two people were struck and killed by an LIRR train Thursday morning around 2:47 a.m., authorities revealed.

The victims, a man and woman in their 20s were struck by a train near the Hollis station in Queens. Police said it was not evident why they were on the tracks.
 
The train's passengers were transferred to another Penn Station bound train.
 
 
The incident did not cause any major delays in Thursday's morning commute.
