Uber driver assaulted before stolen car found submerged in lake: NYPD

An Uber driver picking up three passengers early Sunday morning in Queens was attacked for his car before the vehicle was later found abandoned in a park lake, police said.

The suspects requested the rideshare at about 5:15 a.m in front of 30-05 Whitestone Expwy. in Flushing.

Once the 53-year-old driver arrived, one of the suspects punched in the chest and pulled him of the vehicle, cops said. That same suspect then entered the driver’s seat and the other two suspects got into the car before driving away.
