The United Nations General Assembly will begin on Monday, Sept. 19 in New York City and will affect vehicular traffic near the United Nations Headquarters from as early as Sunday, Sept.18.
Expect delays and street closures throughout the area.
The New York City Police Department has announced the streets that will be closed around the UN. Some streets in the area will be closedintermittently, while others may only be open for emergency vehicles. Plan accordingly. Sunday, Sept. 18
The following streets will be closed to motor traffic starting at 10 p.m.
1st Avenue from 42nd Street to 48th Street Note: The tunnel underpass from 41st Street to 48Street will remain open
FDR Drive will be subject to intermittent closures on the southbound side at 63rd Street and the northbound side at South Ferry.
