Hey New York, what’s better than this town’s food? This town’s free food! Chopt Creative Salad Company, specializing in “faraway flavors” and “local ingredients” is expanding your ways-to-nosh-for-free horizons. To celebrate the opening of its new Empire State Building location, Chopt said the first 200 paying customers will receive a card redeemable for a free Mexican Caesar salad. The card will not get you free food tomorrow, but you can use it at a later date to bust a gratis grub.
On Wednesday, Chopt hosted “Chopt Gives Day” and priced all salads and salad wraps at $2. All of the proceeds will be donated to The River Fund New York, an organization working to fight poverty in New York’s five boroughs. If you go:
