Want free food? Chopt just opened in the Empire State Building

Hey New York, what’s better than this town’s food? This town’s free food! Chopt Creative Salad Company, specializing in “faraway flavors” and “local ingredients” is expanding your ways-to-nosh-for-free horizons.

To celebrate the opening of its new Empire State Building location, Chopt said the first 200 paying customers will receive a card redeemable for a free Mexican Caesar salad.

The card will not get you free food tomorrow, but you can use it at a later date to bust a gratis grub.

On Wednesday, Chopt hosted “Chopt Gives Day” and priced all salads and salad wraps at $2. All of the proceeds will be donated to The River Fund New York, an organization working to fight poverty in New York’s five boroughs.
