Watch at-large robber hold up NYC nail salon

Police are seeking a man alleged to have robbed two Manhattan nail salons at gunpoint.

Around 8:10 p.m. on Friday, April 15, the man entered Jay Nails at 780 Broadway and approached a 36-year-old female employee, put his hand in his jacket pocket and claimed to have a gun, police reported.

After demanding money from the register, the suspect left with $2,500 in cash, according to authorities.

Almost two months later on Sunday, June 12, the same suspect entered Il Girasole Nail Spa at 13A E. Fourth St. and again claimed to have a gun in his pocket as he demanded money from a 26-year-old female employee, the NYPD added.

At this second robbery, the suspect left with approximately $700 in cash before fleeing in an unknown direction, officials said.

The suspect was described by police as a white man between 35 and 50 years old who stood between 6-foot-1 and 6-foot-2 and weighed between 170 and 210 pounds. He was last seen in a black coat, green shirt, green pants and green hat.
