Police had not determined the source of the excrement.

Around 6 p.m. on Monday, a woman, 27, was walking down East 74th Street near the corner of First Avenue when a man grabbed her from behind and slammed a bag of excrement into the waistband of her shorts, the New York Daily News reported.

Police described the suspect as a black man who was approximately 40 years old, 6 feet tall and 200 pounds, adding that he fled on foot in an unknown direction.
