Thousands of New Yorkers are rallying in Times Square Sunday to stand in solidarity with the Muslim community.
Headlined by hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons, the “I Am a Muslim Too” march is in response to President Donald Trump’s controversial travel ban on refugees and travelers from seven mostly Muslim countries. Mayor Bill de Blasio is also in attendance, writing on Twitter that he was joining the rally “because our city belongs to all New Yorkers.”
The rally began at noon and is set to take place until 4 p.m.
