Ole Miss defensive tackle and possible top five 2016 NFL Draft pick, Robert Nkemdiche, made headlines last week when he was arrested after he smashed through a double-pane hotel window and fell 15 feet to the ground.

Now we know why. Nkemdiche was paranoid and was convinced someone was chasing him after smoking synthetic marijuana, according to Clay Travis of FOX Sports. This comes after Ndemdiche's brother, Denzel - a senior linebacker for the Rebels - reportedly tripped on some "fake weed" last month.

Synthetic weed, sometimes called herbal incense, K2 and/or Spice is popular among athletes because it doesn't show up in drug tests. But synthetic pot is highly dangerous.

"It's really quite different [than regular marijuana] and the effects are much more unpredictable," Dr. Lewis Nelson, a medical toxicologist at the NY School of Medicine, said - via Wikipedia.

Nkemdiche was slated to go No. 3 overall to the San Diego Chargers in Metro's latest NFL Mock Draft.
