Al fresco eating is one thing, but really getting back into the outdoors in the city's parks is what we've been waiting for. After last year's success, PopUp Dinner Brooklyn will return to Prospect Park on June 13 for another dinner in white under the stars.
The location (and performer) are a secret until a few hours before the event, but you'll want to be there. Last year's dinner saw more than 4,000 people come out to enjoy the night with live jazz, a DJ and a performance by singer Ben Folds, and there's bound to be even more fun and glamour this year. You bring the place settings (everything must be white, from the placemats to your fascinator) and feast, they supply the tables and entertainment.
Tickets go on sale to the public on Tuesday, April 21, at 9 a.m. for $35. But if you become a member of the Prospect Park Alliance before 3 p.m. today, you'll get early access (Monday, 9 a.m.) and a better deal ($25). But it's all going to the same place — proceeds will benefit the park.
