Mike Francesa and Chris "Mad Dog" Russo reunited Wednesday night at Radio City Music show and felt non-stop love from the New York crowd.
The elephant in the room question: "Will we see 'Mike and the Mad Dog' do a regular Monday - Friday show ever again?" was addressed, albeit briefly.
"Never say never. How's that?," Francesa said when asked by an audience member.
Russo was recently a guest on Kirk Minihane's (WEEI) "Enough about Me" podcast where he discussed a potential full-time reunion at length.
"I wouldn't expect it for the time being," Russo told Minihane. "Mike's under contract. Who's gonna pay all that money to do it? Mike's got two more years to go. I don't know what Mike's plan is at that point. That's a year and a half, that's a long way off.
"Mike will dabble in something ... I don't know if Mike will work every day.
"Would I rule out anything (regarding a reunion)? I would not rule it out. But I wouldn't rule it in for the foreseeable future."
