A 26-year-old man has been arrested for the murder of a Bronx woman he reportedly attacked with a machete — cutting off one of her hands.
On Sunday, Jan. 24 at about 4:08 p.m. police responded to a call of a woman stabbed inside 383 141 St. When they arrived, cops found 59-year-old Carmen Torres-Gonzalez with numerous lacerations to her body, authorities said.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene and pronounced Torres-Gonzalez dead at the scene.
Police later arrested Angel Feliz, who lived in the same building as the victim, and have charged him with murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon.
According to The New York Times, police officials said Feliz attacked the victim with a machete. Torres-Gonzalez had lacerations to her neck, cheek and shoulder; and part of her left hand was severed, while her right hand was completely chopped off.
