Woman’s face slashed in Manhattan subway station: Police

In a video released by the NYPD, the suspect trips and falls as he flees the scene, perhaps a karmic appetizer of sorts.

Police are currently seeking any information regarding a man who allegedly slashed a woman’s face in the Broadway-Lafayette subway station in Manhattan on Monday.
Police say that the unidentified woman was exiting a northbound D train at the Broadway-Lafayette stop around 6:50 a.m. when a man slashed her face and then fled.
An EMS team arrived at the scene and took the woman to a local hospital where she was treated for a laceration on her left cheek.
The male suspect is described as a 20-something Hispanic, standing approximately 5-feet-10 and weighing 160 pounds, with a thin to medium build, brown eyes and black hair.
The suspect was reportedly wearing red sweatpants, a dark colored jacket, red hoodie and multicolored sneakers at the time of the attack.
