A woman was slashed on the neck on the A train to JFK airport on Monday evening, according to police.

As the train stopped at the Euclid Avenue and Pitken Avenue station in Brooklyn, the man approached the woman, slashed her on the neck with a sharp object, and fled from the train.

The woman was a Swedish tourist and missed her flight while being treated at Jamaica Hospital,the New York Post reports.

Her injuries were not life-threatening, police said.

Police described the suspect as a black male, 25 to 30 years old, wearing a black sweater, a dark colored baseball cap and black sweatpants.
