A woman jogging in Queens on Sunday morning was slashed on the left thigh by a suspect who remains at large.
The victim, 19, told police she was jogging in the area of 25thAvenue between 79thand 80thstreets in Jackson Heights when a man in a gray hooded jacket slashed her left thigh, ABC reported. RELATED:Woman’s body found in Queens park in broad daylight “That’s very shocking, very shocking,” resident Pamela Charry said in a related CBS article. “People are home by 6 p.m., kids play outside, so it’s very safe. So to hear something like that is a little scary.” The suspect could have been jogging as well, police said to the New York Daily News. After slicing the inch-long gash into the victim’s thigh, he ran off. The victim was taken to Elmhurst General Hospital and is in stable condition, according to CBS.
