Police are investigating the overnight discovery of a woman found dead on a bench in Carroll Gardens.
Around 4:30 a.m. on Thursday, authorities arrived at 110 West Ninth St. after a call of an assault in the area, police stated. They found a woman, 51, sitting on a bench with a slash wound to her throat. RELATED:Teen stabbed at Brooklyn subway station Medical personnel pronounced the woman dead at the scene, police stated, adding that there have been no arrests and the investigation remained ongoing.
The woman’s identity has not been released by police.
