Police took aWorldTrade Centersecurity guard into custody early Monday morning after he allegedly slashed a man who tossed french fries at him at a lower Manhattan McDonald’s.

Police said a 20-year-old man was throwing fries at the 55-year-old on-duty security guard while at the McDonald’s at 160 Broadway.

A McDonald’s manager told DNAInfo that a group of teens were antagonizing the guard and “placed” the fries on his head.

After leaving the store, the security guard allegedly slashed the man in the chest and face before running away.

The victim ran to Fulton Center and called police. After canvassing the area, police apprehended the security guard at Church and Vesey streets.

The 20-year-old victim was taken to Bellevue Medical Center in stable condition. The security guard was treated for a split lip at NewYork-Presbyterian, Lower Manhattan Hospital.

He is in custody but has not yet been charged, police said late Monday morning.
