There’s been a serious void in our dinner-and-drag options sinceLucky Cheng’sclosed in Times Square. Thankfully, the bachelorette party staple has found a new home in Hell’s Kitchen.

The show has come back kicking on the third floor of West Side nightlife hubStage 48, which also housesCantina Rooftop(so plan your pre- and post-show partying accordingly). There’s more space to play, and expect some high-tech improvements. And while food was, ahem, always secondary to the fun at Lucky Cheng’s, that may change as chef Gonzalo Colin fuses Asian and Mexican flavors.

Lucky Cheng’s first opened in 1993 as an East Village novelty, and in fact claimed to be the first restaurant in the world operating with drag queen servers, bartenders and entertainers. Some of the biggest LGBT entertainers, including Laverne Cox and Bob the Drag Queen from “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” have been part of the over-the-top acts through the years.

The show moved to West 48th Street in Times Square in 2012 but eventuallyclosedin July 2014, blaming rising rent.

For now, shows are just twice a week — Fridays at 7 p.m. and Saturdays at 6 and 8 p.m. — but the club is aiming to return to a daily schedule. And heads up: Friday night’s $50 admission includes a round of shots for the table (or unlimited soft drinks).
