A century of summer fun

The Pacific National Exhibition has always had the reputation of being the most popular ticketed event in the province, and as it celebrates its 100th anniversary, this year should be no exception.

On average, 20,000 people are expected daily over the 17 days of the fair.

Things will kick off with a parade through English Bay on Friday.

The fair itself will begin on Saturday, headlined by a Bryan Adams concert.

“We’ve planned all sorts of visual spectacles like the Kaboom show, Superdogs, Peking Acrobats and 17 summer concerts,” said Mike McDaniel, PNE president.
