There were a few fatalities on the roads — and off — this weekend.

A small pickup truck crossed the centre line on Highway 101 near St. Croix Saturday morning.

The truck hit an SUV travelling in the opposite direction. The 53-year-old driver of the SUV was killed and pronounced dead at the scene.

A 51-year-old woman in the pickup truck was suffering from life-threatening injuries and was taken by air ambulance to Halifax.

RCMP believe black ice on the overpass was a factor in the crash.

A 27-year-old Shelburne County man was killed when his ATV hit a tree on Saturday. He was riding on a trail on Dalhousie Mountain in Pictou County.

One snowmobiler is still unaccounted for in the Forest Glen area of Yarmouth County after two men were reported missing on Saturday morning. They left for a ride on Friday night.
