Last night's deal to end the government shutdown didn't come without a particular type of divine intervention. A House stenographer identified as Dianne Reidy was dragged off the floor yelling about God, the Constitution and Freemasons.
Reidy began her boisterous outburst in the final minutes before the vote.
"He [God] will not be mocked,” she yelled. “The greatest deception here is that this is not one nation under God. It never was.. It would not have been. The Constitution would not have been written by Freemasons. They go against God. You cannot serve two masters. Praise be to God. Praise be to Jesus.”
Baffled politicians looked on as Reidy was escorted out. The commotion wasn't enough to divert the vote, though.
