BA seeks help with misplaced luggage

British Airways cancelled 50 flights yesterday and said 34 more would be cancelled today from its problem-plagued new terminal at Heathrow Airport.
A spokeswoman said 10 per cent of the mountains of misplaced bags destined for European cities were being sent to a processing centre in Milan, Italy, to be sorted and returned to their owners, while some were sent to other airports across Britain.
She was unable to say when passengers would be reunited with their luggage, predicting only that it would be “over the next few weeks.”
