His legs were reportedly naked, but the Barefoot Bandit was fully armed when Bahamian police arrested him early Sunday morning, officials say.
Nineteen-year-old Colton Harris-Moore — who is suspected in a string of home invasions dating back to 2008, having allegedly led U.S. authorities on a wild, two-year chase across multiple states and eventually down into the Caribbean region, jacking cars, boats and even planes to make his escape — intended to shoot himself before capture, according to one report.
To cap off the “Catch Me If You Can”-esque pursuit, Harris-Moore fled Bahamian police in a powerboat, stopping only after authorities disabled his getaway vehicle by shooting out its motor.
