The Look: Fashion samurais
The Runway: Fluid dresses in airy fabrics and soft pale pinks made for a dreamy start to Fashion Week. Obi-style belts, quilted jackets and wide-leg pants added a hint of Japanese dressing. But the show-stoppers were the ethereal all-white looks that closed out the show — set to a soulful rendition of the Proclaimers’ “500 Miles,” a favorite at weddings.
Instaworthy: All the pretty hydrangea prints and a dazzling white beaded gown were the stand-outs of the show.
The takeaway: Invest in culottes — the trend is continuing into spring.
