Who: Robin Kay
Famous for: President of the Fashion Design Council of Canada who oversees Toronto Fashion Week, the 22nd season of which is currently taking place at Exhibition Place’s Allstream Centre. Kay has been instrumental in raising the status of Toronto Fashion Week around the world.
Her drive: A graphite black 2008 BMW sedan with a black leather interior.
Why the BMW? It’s got the best road hugging and excellent power. Doing 120 km/hour is a breeze.
Which of your car’s feature do you love most? My blue tooth phone, which I’ve been using for two years.
What type of driver are you? Restless, which is why I love highway driving. It makes me calm.
What would we find in your trunk right now? This is not a usual time for me as I am between residences and have been almost living in my car. In any case, you’d find a backseat grey flannel crib for my dogs, a plunger, a Marc Jacobs vintage bag, all of my gym stuff, a puppy bed and a medium-size teddy bear. My Toronto Perly’s, which I need to use when my GPSs get stolen. And, finally, my LG Fashion Week emergency rescue kit.
