Bon Jovi, Kid Rock set to tear up stage

One of the concert events of the summer is only a week away in Edmonton.

Commonwealth Stadium will host two of the biggest names in rock music when Bon Jovi and Kid Rock tear up the stage next Thursday.

Bon Jovi has become known for writing several rock anthems, and achieved widespread recognition with their third album Slippery When Wet, released in 1986. Bon Jovi is well known for songs like Livin’ on a Prayer, which has become its signature song, as well as You Give Love a Bad Name, Wanted Dead or Alive, It’s My Life, and Have a Nice Day.

Singer-songwriter and rapper Kid Rock has notched five Grammy Award nominations. Some of his best-known albums are Devil Without a Cause, The History Of Rock, Live Trucker and Rock N Roll Jesus.

Getting there

Here’s what fans need to know to get to the show and make it safe and enjoyable for everyone:

  • Transportation Take Edmonton Transit (ETS) to and from the concert as parking restrictions will be in effect around the stadium. ETS Park & Ride service will be available at the six regular locations, and LRT services will be increased to meet demand.
  • Access for disabled Commonwealth Stadium is wheelchair accessible at Gates 2, 6 and 11. DATS drop-off is available at Gates 2 and 6, as well as covered spectator spaces for wheelchair users and an attendant. An elevator is available at Gate 11.
  • Tix Get tickets through Ticketmaster by calling 780-451-8000, or visiting www.ticketmaster.ca. Tickets will be available at three Commonwealth Stadium box offices (Gates 6, 9 and 13) on the day of the concert.
