A Toronto transit driver has been charged with impaired driving after witnesses alerted police to some erratic driving.

Police stopped the bus Wednesday night on Senlac Road, near Finch and Yonge in the city’s north end.

Const. Hugh Smith said the driver was allegedly exhibiting signs of impairment while driving and given a sobriety test.

Smith said there was “enough evidence to arrest the driver for allegedly driving while impaired by drugs.”

However, Bob Kinnear, the head of the transit union, said the driver has been on prescribed medications for several months and was not told that the medication might cause impairment.
Zvi Domb, 47, of Toronto, has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court June 24.
