Butcher is a cut above

Jose Lima has made Toronto the Good so much better.
The newly minted multi-millionaire, winner of the Lotto 6/49 jackpot, passed on his good fortune yesterday handing out more than 27,215 kilos of chicken legs — enough to feed a small town — to customers and perfect strangers.
The 52-year-old butcher, who took home $14.5 million last week, also cut $5,000 cheques for each of the 50 full- and part-time employees at his brother Julio’s two Nosso Talho meat markets. Lima has managed the shops for almost two decades.
As of yesterday morning, the bill for the chicken was $30,000. When he saw how many people turned out for the celebration at the Bloor Street West and Dundas Street West locations, he ordered another 544 kilos.
