As part of Nursing Week, the Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario will be hosting the 11th annual Nursing Career Expo.
The expo’s “key objective is to highlight nursing as a career of choice,” says the RNAO’s Recruitment and Retention program co-ordinator, Cameron Vale.
Exhibitors will include nursing agencies, long-term care facilities, community health centres and hospitals from across Ontario.
“We’ll have over 50 employers looking for nurses to hire,” Vale says.
Organizers will also provide registration support for internationally educated nurses, who don’t qualify for the provincial guarantee that provides students with a minimum six-month paid position.
