Someone wanted the scariest Halloween costume ever… and they were willing to pay almost $1 million for it.
At least, we can’t think of any other reason someone would want a mask resembling the infamous blank stare of Casey Anthony. The winning bid on ebay for the mask, which the seller says was one of nine used in a parody video, was $990,000.
There were 105 bids for the mask, which went up for sale on July 24 with a starting price of just $25. The winning bid of nearly $1 million came on July 27.
You may be asking yourself why anyone would want to wear something like this. Well, it might have something to do with the seller’s sales pitch.
“Forget Freddy, Jason, Meyers, here’s your chance to scare the *#&% out of everyone and win every costume contest with this amazing Tot Mom latex rubber mask.”
Sure, win every costume contest… or get kicked out of every Halloween party you try to attend.
“Possibly the most frightening mask on the planet.”
No argument there.
The seller also adds, “I bet Nancy Grace would love one of these. Fits most heads sizes comfortably. Let’s never forget poor Caylee.”
What a strange string of thoughts.
Since this is just one of nine identical Casey Anthony masks, our guess is that we haven’t seen the last of this face, whether we like it or not.
