Luke Doucet And The White Falcon

Album: Blood’s Too Richy

*** 1/2 (out of five)

Luke Doucet has moved on from the heartbreak and despair of his previous work and made a much more upbeat ode to the everyman. On Blood’s Too Rich this happy urban cowboy croons playfully, romantically about trucking, moving to Nashville and girls. The alt-country gets a little cutesy at times, but solid backing by the White Falcon, gives the album a sweet electric twang that’s hard to resist.
