Autumn Timber Festival

Sure there are crafts and food, but this event truly is a macho one. Enjoy real lumberjack demonstrations that include tree-trunk climbing and chain-saw sculptures. New to the festival this year is the Ultimate Air Dog competition, in which your BFF can compete in dock-jumping.

Jim Thorpe Fall Foliage Festival

Stroll up and down Broadway in Jim Thorpe and get an eyeful of gorgeous autumn colors every weekend in October. There will be plenty of vendors to peruse, and many shops and restaurants on Broadway will also participate with seasonal specials. Don’t forget to check out free live music at four downtown venues while you’re there.
