Those who are familiar with Metro know that each year we hold a toy drive for children in need. Tony’s Metro Magicis named in honor of our late editor-in-chief, Tony Metcalf, who passed away from cancer in July. Tony loved the annual Metro Magic toy drive and the positive impact in had on our local children.
We have been receiving amazing letters from these children, and this year we are sharing some of them with our readers.
Several kids have requested toys for people other than themselves, like their mothers — a heartwarming act of selflessness.
