Calling Donald Trump’s words”indefensible” and”unacceptable” in a leaked 2005 video displaying predatory comments against women, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie said he still supports the Republican candidate.

In his first comments since the leak, Christie appeared onWFAN’s “Boomer & Carton” in a one-on-one with host Craig Carton, saying there are larger issues in the election to worry about.

“It’s completely indefensible and I won’t defend it and haven’t defended it,” the New Jersey governor said.”That kind of talk and conversation even in private is just unacceptable.”

He added that he was with Trump when he found out about the video leak, adding that he doesn’t believe Trump’s apology, dismissing the comments as “locker room banter,” was sufficient.

“I’m really upset about what I heard, but in the end this election is about bigger issues than that,” Christie said on the morning radio show. “I’m still supporting Donald. Obviously I was disappointed by what happened and disappointed in some respects by the response initially, but I am still supporting him.”

The issue has stemmed from aconversation recorded on a hot microphone in 2005, while Trump was speaking with Billy Bush of “Access Hollywood,”while the two were on the set of “Days of Our Lives.”

Trump is heard talking about trying to get a married woman into bed, and admitted he kisses women without their permission. The video was leaked by The Washington Post on Friday.

“I’ve gotta use some Tic Tacs, just in case I start kissing her,”Trump said when he saw an attractive woman.”You know I’m automatically attracted to beautiful — I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait.”

“Grab them by the p—y,”the now Republican presidential candidate is heard saying. “You can do anything.”

On Trump’s comments, Christie said they are “a little tough to explain,” but they shouldn’t be the only factor in voters’ decision on Election Day.
