Finally coming out of the closet was not an easy decision for Ricky Martin, he admits in an interview with Oprah Winfrey.
“When I realized, OK, I just pressed send, whoo,” he says. “My assistant walked in and I just started crying like a little baby.”
But the singer insists it was a necessary step. “I couldn’t take it anymore. It was too painful. But I guess the most important thing is my children,” he says. “When I was holding them in my arms I was like, ‘What, am I gonna teach them how to lie?’”
