As the news of Cory Monteith’s untimely death spread, celebrities took to Twitter to express their condolences.
Actors, singers and Monteith’s “Glee” co-stars shared their sadness and love for Moneith on Twitter.
“Glee’s” executive producers, 20th Century Fox Television and Fox Braodcasting Company released a joint statement just before midnight PT on Saturday.
“We are deeply saddened by this tragic news. Cory was an exceptional talent and an even more exceptional person. He was a true joy to work with and we will all miss him tremendously. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones,” the statement read.
Monteith’s girlfriend both on and off the screen, Lea Michele, released a statement through her rep asking for privacy.
“We ask that everyone kindly respect Lea’s privacy during this devastating time,” a rep for the actress told People.
