Country stars gone to the cats and dogs

They may simply be a couple of hound dogs, but up-and-coming country stars the Keats are doing their best to get Jake and Scotty adopted.

Sharlene and Jolene Keats are in town for Canadian Country Music Week and took some time to shoot a public service announcement for the Edmonton Humane Society on Thursday.

“We just really value all life and we believe that these pets can add value to your life,” said Sharlene. “A lot of people just don’t know that these places exist and that this option is available to them.”

“We are so happy to have organizations or individuals approach us for any sort of partnership and it has paid off in the past,” said Humane Society spokesperson, Shawna Randolph. “It always helps when you have up-and-coming visitors like the Keats who help us. It makes a big difference.”
