Don’t let a little rain get you down this week, there is still a lot to do at the Calgary Stampede.
“The Western Oasis is something you won’t want to miss, with or without rain,” according to Stampede spokesperson Marise Auffray. “It’s probably the number one thing to do inside and every day it keeps getting busier.
“Whether you want to cool down or dry off, it’s something you definitely don’t want to miss,” she said.
For those getting rained on outside, the Stampede market is also a unique and dry alternative, she added.
“It’s always popular and there are always new products and things to see and try,” she said.” It’s definitely something to see.”
Auffray said there is also the Bell Gateway in the Big Four building, which has been a very busy interactive and popular venue.
“They have the latest in technology, and breakdancers, and everyone always has a good time.”
Many Stampede visitors just run inside for cover when the skies open up, and come out again when the sun returns, including Dana Messing.
“I won’t let it ruin my day. There is always lots to see inside,” she said.
