A driver who was allegedly three times the legal drink drive limit plowed his car into a crowded Thai restaurant in Melbourne, Australia.
Miraculously, three people – a man and two women – escaped with minor injuries.
Closed circuit video shows a group of people finishing dinner at about 10.30pm when, without warning, the car crashes through the restaurant window, slamming into the group of diners. After a sort pause, the car lurches even further forward.
Panicked staff and other diners are seen running away from the scene.
A 57 year old local man was arrested at the scene and has been charged with DUI.
