The Supreme Court of Canada ruled yesterday that police had the right to obtain electricity bills in the case of a Calgary marijuana grow operation.

In 2004, Calgary police tracked Daniel Gombac’s energy use to determine he was growing pot. He was later convicted of growing and trafficking.
