A young Girl Scout in San Francisco is laughing all the way to the piggy bank after raking in hundreds of dollars in cookie sales with the help of some prime real estate: right outside a medical marijuana clinic.
Thirteen-year-old Danielle Lei proved herself as one smart cookie after she set up shop outside Green Cross clinic. Her cookie stand got so slammed with customers, she had to call for backup. She reportedly sold 117 boxes of Tagalongs and Thin Mints in just two hours — talk about the munchies (sorry, we couldn't resist).
Green Cross describes itself as a clinic that "provides safe and affordable access to qualified patients in California by dedicated professionals."
The clinic said Lei and other Girl Scouts will return to their post over the weekend, donating half the proceeds to "Alzheimer's related charitable causes."
Meanwhile, don't get any ideas, Girl Scouts in Colorado.
If you are wondering, we don't allow our Girl Scouts to sell cookies in front of marijuana shops or liquor stores/bars.
