So much importance is placed on the grown a bride will choose for her big day, but what about the footwear?
“A good bridal shoe is something that is totally ‘you.’ You need to feel like yourself on your wedding day and be able to express your own individual style,” says Jessie Randall, founder and creative director of Loeffler Randall, who launched her second bridal collection yesterday. “Our bridal line has the same spirit as our regular collection — they are modern and feminine with an edge.”
But unlike regular shoes, says Randall, “Bridal shoes are really special. So I keep that in mind while designing them. They have to take your breath away.” Leaving us breathless this season are styles including a blush version of her hip, pointy-toe booties, sexy blue velvet lace-up stilettos, metallic lizard-printed pumps and satin heels topped with a feminine rosette. The best part: The collection is so non-bride-y that you don’t need to be a future Mrs. So-And-So to add them to your arsenal.
