Controversial British politician, writer and anti-war activist George Galloway, whom Immigration Minister Jason Kenney tried to keep out of Canada as a security threat, wraps up his speaking tour of the country in Ottawa Saturday night.

“We are certainly extending the invitation to Minister Kenney that we are saving him a seat for the Ottawa event,” said organizer Dylan Penner of the Ottawa Peace Assembly.

“Mr. Galloway did visit Mr. Kenney’s constituency office in Calgary and wasn’t able to find him there and so he’s looking forward to connecting with him in Ottawa.”

Galloway will speak at the Bronson Centre at 2 p.m. A march to Parliament Hill will follow.

Tickets are $10, with proceeds going to Canadian Boat to Gaza and the anti-war movement. Advance tickets are available at Octopus Books.
