Greyhound passengers may have been exposed to tuberculosis

Health officials are working with Greyhound bus lines to identify the passengers who may have been exposed to an active case of tuberculosis.

Officials are looking for all passengers who travelled on Greyhound buses #5164, from Lethbridge to Calgary and #5155, from Calgary to Kelowna, B.C., on May 24. A person with a case of tuberculosis traveled on both buses during the infectious stage of the disease.

“Sometimes there isn’t always complete passenger information so we need the public’s help in identifying the passengers,” Alberta Health and Wellness spokesperson Howard May said, adding any passengers should contact Alberta Health Link or their doctor.
