Here are the best Black Friday deals

1. Where: Banana Republic

What: On Black Friday, take 40 percent off your entire purchase all day long. At Banana Republic Factory stores, everything is 70 percent off through Sunday.

Plus: Dec. 1-12 you’ll get a free gift (think coupons, makeup and gourmet snacks) every time you shop as part of the “12 Days Of Joy” promotion.

2. Where: Target

What: Target stores open at 9 p.m. on Thanksgiving. Door-busters include Nikon L310 digital cameras ($100), Apex 32″ LCD TVs ($147) and Sony PS3 250MB game systems ($200).

Plus: If you’re too stuffed to shop, Target.com is offering exclusive online-only deals, including many of the door-busters.

3.Where: Walmart

What: Walmart’s Black Friday begins insanely early, at 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving, with specials on toys, apparel and home goods. At 10 p.m., the brand-name electronics big-time sale kicks off with the marquee offers.

Plus: To avoid a frenzy, this year Walmart is guaranteeing that customers who are inside the store and in line between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. on Thursday can score the following deals: Apple iPad 2 16GB with Wi-Fi ($399), Emerson 32″ 720p LCD TV ($148) and LG Blu-ray Player ($38).

4. Where: Kohl’s

What: Kohl’s stores open at midnight on Thanksgiving. The many specials include 50 percent off toys from Fisher-Price, Playskool, Little Tikes, Barbie, Disney Princess and Hot Wheels, among other lines.

Plus: Starting Wednesday, you can shop more than 500 Black Friday “early-bird” specials at Kohls.com. From Wednesday through Sunday, earn $15 Kohl’s Cash for every $50 spent (in stores or online).

5. Where: J.C. Penney

What: For its only sale of the year, J.C. Penney — which recently slashed prices and did away with specials — is opening at 6 a.m. on Friday for a no-coupons-required sale.

6. Where: Gap

What: Gap stores are opening at midnight on Thanksgiving with discounts of up to 60 percent off and deals including $19 sweaters.
